TAKEOFF CALLOUTS

Featured Replies

I have checked and rechecked all the FMC options, loaded the latest DXT files and still I do not get the 80 knots or V1 callout.  Any ideas other than rechecking everything would be appreciated.

Thanks

Find the WAV files in the sound folder and check that they are there and actually play something?

Does pressing the GPWS test switch during preflight play all the GPWS sounds correctly?

Also, and this is a long shot but it happened to me.  If you have a 5.1ch speaker system and you set up side speakers instead of rear speakers (or vice versa) opposite to how they are plugged into your computer, you will lose certain sounds.

Are you sure there is an 80kts callout? I never heard it in the NGX, just the V1/V2/Rotate callouts...

The 80kt call is when FS2Crew is used. V1 is an option in the FMC Aircraft options if I remember well. V1, Vr, V2, are called by the integrated PMDG virtual copilot, can be activated or deactivated in PMDG Option/sounds. Better to deactivate when using FS2Crew.
