Recommendations for my next build ...
Capt. Farhadi replied to Capt. Farhadi's topic in System Hardware: PC | MOBO | RAM | CPU | HDD | SSD | PSU etcWith your CPU and graphics card,i think we've got a pretty much alike list and rig. May i ask for some FPS numbers if you have complex addons like PMDG with your simulator (either if you use FSX or P3D) at complex airports? that would be a lot of help to me,cinsidering whether GTX970 works for me or not. I also had a look over Mastercase 5 Pro , but that had a ton of features that i don't use and had to pay for. another question : as you have your photoreal sceneries on your HDD,except for longer times been taken for loading it , do you have stutters regarding ground textures?

Recommendations for my next build ...
Capt. Farhadi replied to Capt. Farhadi's topic in System Hardware: PC | MOBO | RAM | CPU | HDD | SSD | PSU etcThanks Martin for your fast reply! As far as i'v seen on Asus videos and Z170-A documents, they're bootable if you go to UEFI and just play with few settings and seems in the hands of the reviewers it just works fine with Z170-A considering settings that should be made in the UEFI before installing windows on it. As you stated,i'd definitely consider GSkill Ripjaw V and the Trident Z also. For the intel 750 series , i unfortunately don't afford for that . i mean i can but with just a little performance gain above M.2 , i'd may use the extra budget for Monitor or 980Ti. and for the Gigabyte,as reviews has showed, gigabyte windforce is the best 970 so far. I Also wanted to know your opinion about "Asus GTX980Ti STRIX DC3-OC" ; is that worth of extra 300$ over giga970 for Simulation use only?(i'm just gonna use it for P3D V3 and further(V4-5-... when come out),no gaming intention at all) For the monitor,i intend to use 1440p for the RIG but this was the fastest and best bang for the buck product i've found so far. I'd be very happy to see your recommendation about other montors(Maybe even 4K with the 980Ti or just stick to 1440p with gigabyte 970)

Recommendations for my next build ...
Hi guys, Just as many other i started to research about my new build for P3D and after about a month of reading i decided this list is my best bang for the budget i'm gonna put into this build and i'd very happy to know about : How's this gonna perform in P3D with all of that widely used professional addons like PMDG,ORBX,ASN and so on. http://pcpartpicker.com/user/MRFarhadi/saved/#view=CVChP6 CPU: Intel i7 6700k (hopefully* overclockable to about 4.8) CPU Cooler: NZXT Kraken X61 MOBO: Asus Z170-A RAM: Kingstone HyperX Fury 16GB(4x4) DDR4-2666 Storage: Samsung SM951 NVMe M.2 SSD 512GB GPU: Gigabyte GTX 970 G1 Gaming Windforce X3 Chassis: Fractal Define S PSU: Corsair AX860i Monitor: Asus PB258Q Will be happy to see you opinions and corrections to this list p.s. I'm not in a rush and may wait for new parts to be released, ready to see your comments about "Wait for that coming ..." for better performance

Opinions on New Build for P3D
Capt. Farhadi replied to bbain1187's topic in System Hardware: PC | MOBO | RAM | CPU | HDD | SSD | PSU etcFor the SSD,as you wanna use Asus VIII Ranger i'd recommend using a Samsung SM951 NVMe based 512GB M.2 SSD. It's got a better and more reasonable price and you can buy another one and put it on a ASUS Hyperkit and RAID it.So you have a NVMe based 1TB SSD at a lesser cost [and just to mention , very very little and negligible performance drop] And for the GPU,i'd say "Asus GTX 980 Ti STRIX [DC3OC]" is much better than the Zotac one in my opinion

Autoland question
talking proff: autoland is not related to the category of your ILS , autoland is a capability of your autopilot system to land the a/c on ILS ; whether you see your runway or not. talking of ILS CAT : categories of ILS approaches are related to the "Reliability of the both Aircraft and Ground Systems" , not precision of them.so both are gonna take you on the same path. These systems are going to be separated at here : i.e. you're on a ILS CAT I approach , you're stabilized at minimum. You see the runway , you (Manual or Auto , doesn't matter) 2nd ex : you're on an ILS CAT IIIA approach , at DH you see the runway, you execute autoland , you don't : you execute Auto flight managed go-around so: you might autoland with both ILS CAT I , II or III but there's a limitation on CAT II that below a certain RVR (usually 350m) you have to use autoland or HUD , only for CAT II ILS APP

API.dll Crash
Well, that happened again!this time with g3d.dll The thing i figured out was there's an AFCAD named "AFX_TNCM_flytampa_dummy.BGL" in 'scenery/world/scenery/' that when i removed it along with disabling my flytampa scenery, seems there's no crash again. Anyone can help with that?i mean i have paid for it and i have the right to use it but can't!(only with the Triple7) ; when i get to TNCM with 747 seems there's no problem

PMDG J41
No , because of you know ... Marriage stuff ... J.K (just kidding) but yes,as far as i know and experienced with the Triple7 PMDG Products licenses are valid for 2 systems at the same time

FSX Crash : G2D.dll
You don't need it to be made, just make yourself one using 2d popups to iliminate pressure on your pc while in long range cruise YES,I Googled before posting but same old fsx.cfg deleting and info about menus and perhaps busted dll.xml wasn't a good reason for it I Posted here because i thought it's related to one of the 777 dlls, which seem to be related to a problem with VTBS and the PMDG777 @ger Many Many thanks,i downloaded the mainterminal file and replaced it;CTD's gone and hope that won't come back in another long flight I Wasn't aware that FSUIPC released .939 version. thanks for mentioning,i updated it.

FSX Crash : G2D.dll
Hi All, During my last flight from EHAM to VTBS with T7-300ER i got a crash while i started my descent towards the destination. The crash happened when i switched my view from 2D to VC , then i clicked on the mouse wheel to move view , then BOOM : Crash after a 11 hours flight

-300ER Assumed Temperature for Take Off?
yeah, but is there any way to completely override them? if the Vspeed insterted is more than 4-5 knots dofferent it doesn't accept, any way for it?

CTD after entering a PB/PB user waypoint
@downscc alright,i'm gonna ticket it tomorrow cause here it's late night and i'm gonna go right now for you q's : i deleted VECTORS by actually by-passing it (as you yourself mentioned) and for PB/PB from outside of database, -for PG536 , there were 2 terminal RNAV points like that, managed to check it by coordinations like all other duplicated points -for CI26L,as MANY MANY times before,it does get it so easily when the 'un-specified' point is in the flight plan

CTD after entering a PB/PB user waypoint
Hi, I was flying with the 777-200LR with the air france paint from CYYZ-LFPG i was entering the STAR and approach just when reached T/C to go and get some sleep until i get to paris, the when i deleted VECTORS leg and entered PG536086/CI26L356 btw BIBAX7W arrival-trans:MOP3W and ILS26R,i get this CTD Faulting application name: fsx.exe, version: 10.0.61472.0, time stamp: 0x475e17d3 Faulting module name: PMDG_777X.DLL, version: 1.0.0.0, time stamp: 0x5519990e Exception code: 0xc0000417 Fault offset: 0x0024ba2c Faulting process id: 0x1308 Faulting application start time: 0x01d09014965af835 Faulting application path: C:\FSX\fsx.exe Faulting module path: C:\FSX\GAUGES\PMDG_777X.DLL Report Id: 9a510600-fc0f-11e4-ad76-e4ce8f12685b

The Case for Remaining in the Loop
@hasse29 i don't agree with that. a good pilot is the one that can comeover emergency situations and make the flight SAFE again. in my airline(Iran Air),there are many former-military pilots;as i was TRI/TRE on 727 many years ago and now on A320,i've seen many of them;let me tell you that "OFTEN,they're not good pilots",for what reason?:see the aircrash investigations and their human factors.with all respect, most of Fatal human errors that led to a crash were made by military pilots. Why again?:go read the reports, you'll see whY(if i was gonna say the last questions answer, that would be a very LONG comment which will frustrate you more,so i'm just referring to somewhere that would lead you to an answer) [one reason is the TIME that you takeover the machine/computers on the aircraft ,which is very important on safety factors in case of any incident that may lead to and accident or probably a crash] Hope i have helped. Best Regards,

Long Flight Times without OOM & VAS issues
interesting,i'm using the T7 for over 9 months and i have never ever experienced any OOM or VAS running out error;actually i've had about 10 crashes in the last year but none of them were related to PMDG work(actually, they were my fault i guess) So my longest flights without OOM&VAS are my longest flights ever.
