  1. I was hoping you'd say "when" there Kyle. I'd love an ER. Flying the LR with British Airways feels a bit weird.
  2. Sorry Kyle. Still new round here - getting use to the ropes. Andreas Theophanatos
  3. Have you tried updating your AIRAC databases from Navigraph? The latest version is 1507.
  4. The PMDG 777 is a must have in my opinion. I enjoy flying it so much. There are a few niggles about it such as it not supporting ALL weather engines for the weather radar but other than that, it's definitely worth the price. The Aerosoft airbus is fun, but not as in-depth as PMDG's aircraft. It has a good rendition of the FBW logic, but not perfect, however that is a limitation of the sim and not Aerosoft. It also lacks the visual aesthetics (at least in my opinion) of PMDG; no winglex, the way the exterior reacts to lighting within the sim looks a bit odd to me - shouldn't matter since you fly inside the plane anyway - and the VC is a bit of a FPS hog. It's good fun if you enjoy short hops with lots of sectors, though. I'd still recommend it!
  5. I bought the TOPER calculator. For £8 and all the variants of the 777 (if PMDG ever do make the -200ER I'd be very happy), it's an absolute steal. The V-speeds felt more 'realistic' compared to TOPCAT & what the FMC usually output by itself. Thanks for all your help! Andreas Theophanatos
  6. Thanks guys! I appreciate your help. I'll look into the "TOPER" app and see what I think. In terms of accuracy & consistency, how good is it for those that use it? The price is impressive too at roughly £10. Andreas Theophanatos
  7. Hi all, First time properly posting here on the AVSIM (& PMDG) forums. I've been flying the -200LR/F for quite some time using TOPCAT's PMDG 777 profiles for getting assumed temperatures for take off N1 reduction values (is that the correct term?). I was wondering if there is any ywa I can figure it out the same sort of numbers for the bigger -300ER? I presume the profile from TOPCAT cannot be used with the -300ER given the -200LR is a smaller aircraft. If you have any recommendations for software or tables where I can get this information, that would be really useful. Thanks! Andreas
  8. Great shots . I'd love to know what OMAA scenery you are using. Andreas
  9. That is exactly what I am implying. If you watch Ed's youtube videos you will see he often states that his panels are unavailable and very low chances of them becoming available. Arguments aside; Fantastic shot Ed. Shame we don't get to see any modern jetliners from you.
  10. A panel that you and almost everyone the community will never get, Aharon.
  11. That is an A318 :).
  12. Ah great thank you. I am excited to see the next few legs of your tour - I saw 2 & 3 on your blog.I agree with not being ready for FSX. For me, FS9 still has a lot to give, and since a lot of developers still support it, it will be hard to make the switch.
  13. I would love to know your ENBseries and environment settings :)!
  14. Hi, I am a new user to VATSIM, and I don't have a headset, however I have a MacBook which has a built in microphone on it. I installed Windows 7 into VMWare Fusion, and installed squawkbox 4. The microphone worked fine in the calibration phase, however, when I go to connect to FS2004, it doesn't recognise that FS2004 is running on my XP machine. I have WideFS and FSUIPC, both registered copies, installed on my FS2004/XP machine.Any help needed, and I can also provide a photo showing that FS9 is running and SB4 isn't connecting if needed.
