Doors handling by FS2Crew-AES

Featured Replies

Bryan, I am a little confused as to how FS2Crew handles the doors in combination with AES. I read on the FS2Crew manual:

"AES:

If using AES, select 'Yes'. If 'Yes' selected, FS2Crew not control either the doors or the air bridge. Special Note: If using GSX, also select AES to 'Yes' since GSX and AES are very similar."

Thus I should select 'No' in order to have the doors automatically controlled by FS2Crew? My setting up to now has been 'Yes', but that way I have to manually open/close the doors, AES does not do anything concerning the doors. Is AES supposed to open/close the doors?

Thank you.

FS2Crew will do more than just open doors, it'll also extend the air bridge and stairs if the situation is warranted.

I haven't used AES in ages, but if it doesn't control doors and you want to use AES, then control the doors manually and set the FS2Crew option to 'yes' for AES.

I use FS2Crew with the FS9 IFly 737 and can't figure out how to get the door or air bridge operation working. Any tips ?

Ian

Hi Bryan

You said in an earlier post that, as well as the doors, FS2CREW also extends the air bridge and stairs if the situation is warranted. The manual says the same ...

... is that only on FSX installations ?

(The manual also mentions 'airstairs' but I guess that depends on whether the add-on aircraft has them built in to the model ?)
