March 25, 201313 yr Hi. I have a minor problem with MCE for the QW Avro RJ. Whatever altitude I ask the FO to set, he simply takes that figure and increases the target altitude by that amount. For example, If I am cruising at Fl 280 and I say "set altitude six thousand," instead of turning the knob to 6000 feet, he will add that amount and turn it to 34000 feet. Any suggestions are welcome. Regards, PD

Next, check your QW146 installation is patched to the latest service pack. Version 1.2, unless there is a new SP we aren't aware of. Gerald R https://www.multicrewxp.com
March 26, 201313 yr Author Hi. I can confirm that UAC is disabled. It always has been, but I double checked anyway. Also, I am running V1.2 (in FSX). Something else to throw into the mix: I remembered another problem. Whenever I tell the FO to engage the autopilot, he does so, but then reports that it failed to engage. However, it actually does engage, and continues to work perfectly. Regards, PD
March 28, 201313 yr Hello. I may be way off track here. But I recently downloaded the latest MCE version. I saw that the QW146 dll ( mcqw146.dll) was not in the, Support/files/ FSX/MCE dlls folder. Copy and paste all the dlls from \Files\FSX\MCE dlls\ found in unzipped downloaded file. Also worth checking you have fsInsider.dll version matching the package version you're installing i.e. v 2.5.3.1. Hope this helps Best Regards David
March 29, 201313 yr Author Dave, thanks for the suggestions. All the dll's appear to be in the correct places, but I was unaware of the update to version 2.5.31. I was running v2.5.28. I can't see any changelog anywhere, but I've just downloaded the latest version, and I'll try it in a few days. Damn that real life, always getting in the way of simming! Regards, PD

Phil, I would run the "restore to factory settings" after you install the latest version. New version allows you to alter the speed at which William or his buddies, press the switches. The issue has to be something that's fixable. MCE and the support is stellar. Cheers, David

Besides updating to the latest and restoring to factory settings, suggest you check "fsx.exe" isn't set to run in compatibility mode. I recommend you also set the exe to run as Admin. Right-click the file and check properties. There's a box you can tick in the <Compatibility> tab. If still no joy, contact support. Thanks Gerald R https://www.multicrewxp.com
