March 27, 201313 yr I have been using the files MT Trees to add trees to scenery's in FS9 with no problems. However, when using the same files in FSX, I get a transparent area at the top of the trees. Would like to know and have recommendations on which tree library objects you use for placement in FSX. Thanks
March 27, 201313 yr just use the default FSX library, it has lots of trees. Here is a link that shows all the objejcts available thru the default library (it's in the scenery>global>scenery folder) http://lc0277.gratisim.fr/sceneobjects/ The reason the FS9 trees look like that is the 2 sims handle transparencies differently, which is why FS9 props have issues also in FSX. March 28, 201313 yr Author Thanks Mike. I just looked at the "vegetation" category and I can't find any palm trees. Can't believe Aces didn't add any palm trees. Do you have a recommendation? Thanks

March 28, 201313 yr Instant Scenery. Instant Scenery Cool, once you select the vegetation BGL, you should be able to scroll thru all the trees to the palms. Best, Michael KDFW
March 29, 201313 yr Hello: Although Instant Scenery certainly can preview FSX default vegetation objects on screen, you may also wish explore the thumbnail gallery of FSX default vegetation at: http://lc0277.gratisim.fr/sceneobjects/vegetation/index.html Happy scenery building !
March 29, 201313 yr I have the same problem. I have an animation that includes trees as bmp's in the texture folder. I can open the bmp in DXTBMP. Is there any way of changing the alpha channel in these bmp's to eliminate the see-through effect similar to the fix for FS9 propellers in FSX. The objects in the above referenced file are shown as GUID's. Is there any way to make them into a bmp so I could just swap them with the offending bmp's? Thanks, Bob.
