April 3, 201313 yr Rhydian, good point about helios. If you have a touchscreen it will save you a lot of fiddling around and clicking in cockpit. Also, if you have an ipad then getting some similar software for that could be useful as well. This will allow you to put parts of the different consoles on the ipad so you can activate buttons from there. You are right, a lot of people have put a lot of time in to their pits at ed forums. I am one of them who has cut out an a10 frame with 3 42" screens as well as cdu screen, helios etc. Its all a lot of fun though

Just bought a leo bodnar card to interface with HELIOS, going to test some rotary encoders and toggles to see how well it works. I still cant get over the fact that the software is free! Been grappling with the LUA file all of yesterday trying to get Helios to work after the DCS 1.2.3 update. Have started to look into building a cockpit with CAD software. But...I have a little one on the way, wife's due Saturday....aaah! doubt i'll be getting very far after that! Downloaded an app the other day (A-10 VC free), haven't had a chance to play around with it yet though. Cheers Rhydian
April 3, 201313 yr Good luck on all counts! You will find that it could just be easier to connect your rotary switches directly to DCS. Leo's card will output one button press for left and right and that should be able to be mapped directly to a function inside of DCS.
