April 2, 201313 yr Hi I have FSX with SP2, already have changed vc files from FS9 to FSX, additionally i have tried "F1 FSX vcrainfix", but still have no even one drop of water on my screen. Also i was checking DX9 and DX10 - no difference, no effect. What can be wrong ? Artur

Also i was checking DX9 and DX10 - no difference, no effect. What can be wrong ? You will only see this effect, even with the FS9 VCRAIN effect files with models originally developed for FS9. It will not work with most FSX native models, that includes default. The only exception I know of is Lotus L-39, which did build this into their model. There may one or two more, but they are few and far between!! Thanks Tom My Youtube Videos! http://www.youtube.com/user/tf51d
April 2, 201313 yr I believe you also need to have windshield_rain_effect_available = 1 set in the effects section of the aircraft.cfg
April 3, 201313 yr I believe you also need to have windshield_rain_effect_available = 1 set in the effects section of the aircraft.cfg But still that woulnd't have any effect unless the rain is coded into the model like in the L-39, which is the only plane I have that gets this effect right. I'm lucky in that my regular a/c (Plane Design Lancaster from FS9) has the effect. Very good it is too.
