April 6, 201313 yr I get square blue blocks when I change views and disappears after about 3 seconds. I just completed a reinstall of fsx and PC upgrade. Anyone have this issue George Lee Asus Maximus Hero IX Motherboard, Intel i7 6700K CPU, Geforce GTX 1080, Corsair 16Gb memory, Corsair case, Corsair PSU
April 6, 201313 yr Square blocks where? on the ground? on the aircraft? directly on the point of view 'inside' the camera point? The first 2 (ground or on aircraft) are to do with textures loading. Hard Drive speed will cause this, and the only way to get rid of it is either via some virtual RamDisk stuff or installing stuff on a huge Solid State Drive SSD. If the squares are as if they were attached to the screen itself (ie covering an actual 2d square over the screen) then it may be Video card stuff. The fact that it dissapears after 3 seconds makes it sound more like the textures loading. Thank you, Trent, for this as I too have been suffering this phenomenon, of textures tumbling in little square boxes before assembling to make the whole picture. Now you have given me the incentive to get a large SSD. Can I run FSX directly off it, or can I just place my scenery folders there? Rick Almeida
April 8, 201313 yr Author FSX is installed on a SSD drive. is this an installation issue? Did not install in default. George Lee Asus Maximus Hero IX Motherboard, Intel i7 6700K CPU, Geforce GTX 1080, Corsair 16Gb memory, Corsair case, Corsair PSU
