April 12, 201313 yr I've only ever done short (<2hr) flights on flight sim before but i want to do an atlantic crossing from europe to north america soon. What do you guys do to keep yourselved entertained on the cruise? Technically given it's a simulator, flying 7 hrs is really no different to a 45 minute cruise because once you're cruising unless you have failures set, nothing happens. But i kind of like the idea of doing it properly and not just increasing the time compression! James Bennett
April 13, 201313 yr Fly online, so you can talk with ATC and other pilots, read the manuals, learn about aviation, watch films etc Zeljko Budovic
April 13, 201313 yr I do other stuff around the house. When theres no atc on line of course. Checking on the plane every 30 mins as per Vatsim rules. Definitely read up on your transatlantic ops and radio transmissions too. Oh yeah and have fun too doing a transatlantic flight in real time especially with atc is fun. Lee
