April 15, 201313 yr Hi Is there anyone who can tell me or help me with a question? In the manual for the PMDG 737NGX says, quote, "There is no need to first load the Cessna 172, or use any sort of custom saved flight when loading the PMDG 737NGX. Our programming sets up the sim eviroment properly as the aircraft is loading", end qoute. I have seen many youtube videoes to learn how to use the PMDG 737NGX and read a lot of manuals. In ine of the videos, it is said that he has made an Options file, where he set up Cold & Dark setup. How di i do that? In FMS you can go into the setup and PMDG startup State. There is a file called CLDDRK (Cold & Dark). But this is not working. I have searched online for how to do this for myself without success. What do i have to do to changes this?
April 15, 201313 yr Are you selecting cold and dark then pressing exec? If you don't press exec it won't do anything. (If my memory serves me). If the config was altered somehow, just power it down all the way yourself then save a new config (save panel state). -justin

April 15, 201313 yr you 'may' have kinda messed the aircraft up with a lot of button pressing at first (did that too when I first installed) each plane livery remembers its state for further loads and the panel state is only part of the setup,,,recommend you either uninstall completely and reinstall or a quicker solution just select a different livery (download a free one from their download area) and start again with a 'fresh' aircraft.. then make sure as Justin states that you press EXEC after selecting the C/D panel state...you SHOULD see and hear the plane winding down pretty quickly and the lights all going off leaving your plane indeed "cold and dark"...don't do this at night or you wont be able to see the battery button to get things going afterwards!! (note to PMDG how about a virtual flashlight we can activate for night time operations?) Russell Gough SE London
