April 15, 201313 yr It drives me potty the way that FSX sounds go strange if switching views while flying. Seems the only way to reset the sounds, is to hit 'q'. I get fedup having to do this numerous times during a flight. I know I'm not alone with this issue, but I also don't see much about it. Anyone know of a work around? When I change from external view to VC my hand automatically double taps 'q'. Whats the big deal, how is that something that is causing you grief? I know that in today's day and all society as a whole has gotten so lazy this is the kind of thing driving people nuts! I don't think you see much about this because all that you have to do is touch a key on your keyboard. I know, that pesky 'q' key is difficult to find sometimes... right next to the keys for changing views. lol Jon Preston
April 15, 201313 yr Fellows, what are you talking about? I don't have sound problems, been flying since inception, switch between views all the time. What exactly is this particular sound issue? Bryan Wallis aka "fltsimguy" Maple Bay, British Columbia Near CAM3

If you don't like that, then .......;-) Why on earth bother posting if that's all you had to say?! turn sound quality down to 16 bit cd quality Many thanks for posting something positive for me to try;-) Windows 10 (x64) - X-Plane 11 - M/B: Asus ROG Maximus IX Hero - CPU: i7 7700k (@5.0GHz) - RAM: 32Gb Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 @ 3200MHz - Video: GTX1080ti - Cooling: Custom water loop (EK 140 Revo D5 pump/res combo, EK EVO CPU block, EK XE360 Rad)
April 15, 201313 yr Maybe I'm a little sensitive to such "silly" problems that make people "fed up". I thought my post was helpful! Jon Preston
April 15, 201313 yr Thanks for the thread. I've only been flying FSX for a month and I noticed it right away. Dead silence when you return to the previous view. No need to get snarky when you give advice.

April 17, 201313 yr Make sure you set both Voice and Sounds to the same device in FSX sound options. Having this incorrectly configured has caused sounds to go quiet for me on several occasions. -
