September 26, 200421 yr I'm very surprised to find myself asking this question but what's your favorite airliner (model, fs group, etc)Mine would have to be the IFDG A318/19/20/21 model with the PSS panel. I only fly airliners for my Virtual Airline when I get assignments, but I always feel more excited about getting an A3XX than any other aircraft type. I have the PSS panel installed in all of the, and it's a joy to fly! The only issue is when I speed the rate up more than 2x on the long legs of the flight, the plane rocks it's wings out of control... so the flights are longer than usual but I dont mind it as much with this combo than I would with most other planes. The IFDG models are also highly demanding... a real frame rate killer...Anyways, what about you guys?
September 26, 200421 yr Nice... heard a lot of good things about it. Havent been able to afford spending that much on a plane though.Plus, my VA, Northwest Virtual, doesnt fly 737's. Mostly Airbus.
September 26, 200421 yr tough one - I too love the ifdg/pss combo, also the Posky 340/pss combo, but also the Posky 757/767_lonny payne combo - sigh...:)regards,Mark Regards, Mark
September 26, 200421 yr The IFDG/PSS combo is nice, I use that or the SSW A310 for short haul at the moment. For longer trips I prefer either RFP 747 w. CIVA or the VC10 from David Maltby/Dave Booker (also modified for CIVA). If I should single out one plane it would be the VC10.By the way, as I see more people are using IFDG/PSS Combo, what are you using as 2 D side cockpitviews as the IFDG hasn't any VC ?CheersPeter
September 26, 200421 yr Recently did a reformat and reinstall of Windows. I reinstalled FS9 and all my Scenery. I only installed the PMDG 737NG 600/700/800/900John http://homepage.eircom.net/~eamonnmca/images/logo_ba.JPGwww.bavirtual.co.uk Senior Captain Simflight.com Staff Reviewer
September 26, 200421 yr Erick Cantu's latest 737-200, with his sounds available from the tinmouse website. I use the tinmouse panel, and check to see if there have been any updates as often as i come onto AVSIM!:( In my opinion it's going to be the one of the best panels out there once completed, and I already fly it constantly, I just need to get some Charts for V speeds from anywhere, any ideas anyone?Anyone interested go to www.tinmouse.org, and check the screenshot of the in the works throttle quadrant...mmmmmm tasty:P The guages are so high res and sharp but performance is great, it's a real treat to fly!
September 26, 200421 yr I'll have to say PMDG 737, as it is the most complete simulation at this moment, but the Level D 767 will possibly surpass it.-
September 26, 200421 yr Ready for Pushback 747-200 remains my number one. I like everything about it and yes, it keeps me busy on those transatlantic flights.PMDG 737 is probably second, but I fly the PSS Airbusses, too. On the other hand, Captain Sim 727 gives a lot of satisfaction when you get the landings down right, and looks beautiful, but the Iron Knuckles DC9 is really a pilot's airliner, with nice big instruments that really let you navigate... hmmm... I hate questions like this!RFP 747, yeah that's it :-)
September 26, 200421 yr Peter, I dont use any 2D side views as I hate them... I dont look off to the sides much at all, so I dont need them anyway.
September 26, 200421 yr Well use to be PIC 767 then PMDG 737 although PIC will holds a special place. I think dreamfleet-flight 1 are right up there and if I did not like large aircraft they would certainly be number 1 in my book. Best Wishes,[h4]Randy J. September 26, 200421 yr RFP 742 is also my favorite, coupled with the POSKY 742Fs, and the CIVA INS. The PMDG 737NGs come in real close, but don't quite give me the satisfaction that the RFP panel leaves me with after a long flight.
September 26, 200421 yr Can't say I really had the one favourite airliner. However, I admit I keep returning to the iFDG A320 family, the Posky A340 and the SGA/Kittyhawk B737 and DC-10 most frequently. However, I also enjoy David Maltby's British airliners and, most recently, the incredible Tu-114 every now and then. To put it differently, I'm glad there's something available for every mood I can possibly be in :D .
