April 17, 201313 yr It amazes me how much forward speed those wingsuits generate. They say the attainable glide ratio is 2.5 or more, so that means from a half mile up the jumper would cover more than a mile on the ground--amazing. John

April 17, 201313 yr That looks very fun- only thing putting me off is going splat on a cliff. One bit of turbulence--not a lot of room for a course correction.... Watching the video reminded me of the scene in the movie "Independence Day" where Will Smith flies the spaceship out of a tiny portal in the ship. I am amazed the wingsuiters have such precise control over their direction. Question is, who is going to model this for MSFS or X-Plane ? John
April 18, 201313 yr Watching this reminded me of these lines: "There are airmen and there are pilots: the first being part bird whose view from aloft is normal and comfortable, a creature whose brain and muscles frequently originate movements which suggest flight; and then there are pilots who regardless of their airborne time remain earth-loving bipeds forever. When these latter unfortunates, because of one urge or another, actually make an ascension, they neither anticipate nor relish the event and they drive their machines with the same graceless labor they inflict upon the family vehicle." Fate is the Hunter Airman for sure. Joe Brown
