When I press V to take a screenshot, where does the captured image go?   What is the file type?  What directory?

 

I've searched this forum and can't find a direct answer.  Appreciate any help...

they should be in C:\Dean\my pictures\ Microsoft flight simulator x files.

In Win 8 they should be at C:/users/Dean/pictures/Flight and in BMP format.

You won't find them in the Simulator X files. Just check your pictures under the folder named "Flight". The files will need to re-sized and converted to Jpeg before they can be uploaded to the forum.

I do hope to see some screen shots soon.

Thanks guys -- I was looking in all the wrong places.  I thought they'd be saved to some subfolder in the Flight program files.  Interestingly, I also looked for guidance on this subject in the Flight user's guide (pdf) and, while it said that V was the screenshot key, it didn't say where the pictures went.

You won't find them in the Simulator X files.
