September 30, 200421 yr "Until Saturday, perhaps we might occupy our time more productively if we came up with a list of workarounds that need to be undone and how to undo them. For example:- how to reenable extended autogen (which we disabled to prevent memory leak)- how to reenable seasonal transitions (which we disabled to prevent seasonal CTD)"Excellent suggestion. I am afraid the answer may be a challenge, depending on how people applied the Autogen and seasonal CTD fix.For the Autogen fix, if they renamed their default.xml, they can rename it back and that should bring back the enhanced autogen. If they deleted it, then they need to restore it from the installation CD's.For the seasonal CTD, the quickest fix would be to restore the terrain.cfg. Easily done if a backup was made, however if one wasn't made, it will also require restoring it from the installation CD'sThings will be more complicated if people have customized terrain.cfg's for items other than the seasonal ctd, such as shrinking/widening the "right of way" displayed for utility lines, rail lines, etc.... Also, I tend to like the way MSFS looks around airports with the seasonal CTD fix applied, since they look more distinct from the surrounding terrain.I rarely fly with Autogen since I usually fly so high I can't see it anyway...Having the bridges back will be nice, but I somewhat recall a post eons ago which discussed how to install the bridges from FS2002 into FS2004. I nevered bothered with it--we don't have many bridges here in AZ :) -John
September 30, 200421 yr Saturday was only a guess you know!:-) Some people are writing as though it will be that day.:D
September 30, 200421 yr Author I certainly would be surprised if it would be released on saturday.I expect it to be released on a (U.S.) week/working day, not during the weekend. So perhaps tomorrow, or else next week, unless it's been delayed, always a possibility of course.Best,Martijn
