Okay yall so i have rex, utx, gex, orbx for AU, and some other addon a/c but ive noticed something missing. Where are the birds?? With engines off and windows open its too quiet... Any ideas? I looked at accu feel 2 but it dosnt add enviroment like birds and such.

Orbx airports have bird sounds.  At least the one's I've bought in the Pacific Northwest and Central Rockies.  I can't speak for AU, but I would think they'd have similar sounds.

Make sure scenery complexity is set to Extremely dense and Special Effects is set to High.

Birds are input into various scenery either via the SDK or by some object placers. They have to be added to scenery that way. You can get hawks by turning on your Thermal settings and selecting "advanced" (or something akin to that... there are three settings, off, normal and whatever the third one is - that third setting will create hawks for you when there are thermals (pretty much everywhere).  No sounds with those.though.

Jim is correct, some freeware and payware scenery have added thirds. Freeware that I remember off the top of my head is SunSkyJet KPHL (incredible airport scenery for the 4th busiest airport in the United States and it's freeware.  Also San Franciso Living World (has a map to show where the birds are, but you can also look for the Marinas as that's where they were placed.  Many of the Aerosoft sceneries have teh birds and the sounds. That includes Chicago, Cleveland and San Franciso Cities - and you can hear them from the airport.

Hope this helps.

Hey guys thanks for the replies, i do know that in a few places you can see birds, especially in orbx scenery but its not the "visuals" im looking for. Everywhere i go i wish i could load the sim and before cranking the plane open the windows and hear highway sounds, crickets chirping at night, cicadas, owls at night, birds chirping, etc. before engine starts i question if my speakers are on fax is so quiet at times...

I will try your suggestion firehawk but i think i will have to find a addon to get what i want or design one myself lol.
