April 27, 201313 yr I have read a forum about this product that promise a full optimization of the cores usage while running FSX, for example it says that you can configure the second core to run FSX and the first core to run add-ons and so on, so you can optimize until 12 cores!!! Sounds awesome!!! If that so, no more tweaks, a 6 core processor would be better for FSX and so and so..... Have you ever heard about it? Any experience? You can already get FSX to run on particular cores using the AffinityMask setting, and fundamentally you cannot override how the Windows kernel scheduler assigns tasks to cores. Cheers! April 27, 201313 yr When something sounds too good to be true, it usually is. Here's a review I found that might make you think twice about this product : http://www.simflight.com/2011/03/06/fsps-xtreme-fsx-pc/ Depending on your system, all you really need are just a few, if any at all, tweaks nowadays with newer and more powerful pc's. I run an older pc, though it is an overclocked multi-core, with very few tweaks and I have a wonderful time simming and I have all kinds of add-ons. Also, my performance improved by simply going to DX-10. There's all kinds of help on the net, especially here at Avsim, to improve your performance. You might want to go that route first before spending money on this but then again, it's only a 10 spot so who knows, it might do you good. Food for thought, Jim E. James D. Edwards
