EZDOK- How to change views

Featured Replies

I'm posting this EZDOK question because I had better luck in this forum then I had in the EZDOK  Forum  Website.

I'm having no trouble tweaking the individual views such as Pilot, Co-pilot, Right Wing, etc. The last thing I thought I would have trouble with is changing the view between Pilot, Instrument Panel, Co-pilot, and also the view between the cockpit and outside views.

Now, one of the first things I did was disable all FSX Controls because I'm using FSUIPC4. I disabled all the joystick buttons there , so I can start from scratch.

I'm using the X-52 Joystick and Throttle. I want to use the top trigger on the joystick to change the different views in the cockpit and the different views outside.I want to use the top button on the joystick ( the one with the shield that flips up ) to change the view from cockpit to the outside view.

If you know how to do this, I would really appreciate the input, step by step. Thanks

I was able to change the camera views within the cabin using the top button on the joystick ( the one with the shield that flips up ) . Still trying to get the upper trigger to change the view from the cockpit to the outside view.

Open the EZDOK Studio, click on the outside view that you want for the button. Then click on the small rectange upper right... It will turn red...click on the joystick button you want to use. That's all you need UNLESS somewhere that JS button is in use. If so, delete the other assignment and redo the red block thingie.

Sorry, can't be more precise but my FSX PC is not here with me.

I clicked on the outside view by clicking on one that is listed in middle column. There are two boxes upper right, I clicked on the lower of the two, using my trigger button that I want to use to change views between cockpit and outside. It worked by going from cockpit to exterior, but couldn't bring it back to cockpit using the same trigger button.

The button that changes each individual view goes where?

The button that changes the view from cockpit to exterior to back again?

Personally, as good as Ezdok is, or at least was, when 1st launched, I think Opus now far surpasses it. Not only in what it does, but also with support and updates.

I'm by no means running Ezdok down. I wouldn't fly without it for a couple of years, I just think it's been left behind.

Could using FSUIPC be the problem? Anyone here using FSUIPC with EZDOK and not having problems?

Not at my computer atm so just going from memory. The next camera and category assignments at the bottom of the menu are for fsx views like external, flyby, tower. I use the default keys s and a for those, but assigned in ezdok not fsx. The top assignments are for ezdok. Next category will change from ezdok vc to ezdok external. Next camera will cycle through each camera within the category. The individual camera views need to have the yellow c button active or it wont cycle through. You an assign shortcuts to each individual view or to cycle next category or camera. I think you still have to add joysticks to ezdok. There's a

menu for that as well.
