AOTD for 4/3013 - Port Clarence Loran Tower

Featured Replies

I thought this was a repeat but in looking back, on 11/16/12, we had one named "Radio Tower" which was near Port Clarence.

This is another contribution by Air1.  Thanks again, Steve.

Enjoy.

Thank you.

I also wondered If it was the same tower. But in doing the research I found some interesting facts and pictures so I went ahead with it. Always a chance to learn something.

I finally got a chance to hunt this one today. It was a good flight in the Red Tail for a change. My normal a/c has been the CC for many moons but I needed to go for something a little different.

This one makes 300 for me. I'm one short though as I missed last weeks Iditarod checkpoint. As soon as its posted I'll collect it too.

Never thought I would see 300 aerocaches. Goes to show you that you just don't know what the future holds with this franchise does it?

Thanks, Steve for submitting these caches.

Thank you.

Well, still a nice over water flight.
