When I was flying on Emirates the LR has enormous engines for Long Range. The ER are smaller Extended Range

The 200LR has an additional range of over 1,600NM as compared to the 200ER and the 200LR has the newer raked wingtips.  I'm sure there's other differences.

In short, the LR has greater range and higher max takeoff and landing weights.

This is because the LR has a more efficient/stronger wing, bigger engines, stronger landing gear and auxiliary fuel tanks. There may be other small items, but those are the important ones.

The LR has more range than the ER, the ER has a total of 7,700 nm compared to the LR which boasts a 9,380 nm range.

They also have different systems, and structural differences.

To be simple, the 200LR is a 200ER with the wings and engines of a 300ER.

Therefore, it is more powerful on takeoff.

The 200LR can use a 2600m runway at max zero fuel weight for an 11h flight (of course airport at sea level, dry runway and no obstacles in the flightpath after takeoff)

What version does FedEx use?

FedEx uses the 777F or Freighter. It's effectively a 200LR, sans windows.

Wow, nice. Time to start retraining for the 777F from the MD11F I would say :)

The systems really aren't any different - there's an option for different fuel tank configs, but that's really it.
