I am not sure why this guy has to mention the steve winslow vaporware post that was in the rant section. The post was stupid in my opinion and I don't understand why this guy is giving it new life in this article.

Is he mentioning it because Steves comment was aimed at LES's SAAB and a few other x-aviation products. Steve is a known supporter of the .org and I am wondering if this "reviewer" is as well

Either way I will save my money and spend it on planes that I have confidence in the systems modeling such as the IXEG 737 and LES SAAB.

Mikea76,

Sorry you missed the humor in my "Vaporware" post. It was, as I explained in my last post on that thread, a tongue in cheek poke and was not intended to offend anyone nor was it meant as any kind of personal attack. If anyone took it personally, then they misunderstood the intent of the post. I suppose I could have simply posted another whiny "is it ready yet" post like so many others, but instead I decided to make a light-hearted attempt at a humorous aside expressing my frustration and anticipation for upcoming, even imminent, releases. The reason "this guy" posted anything about the "Vaporware" thread was because he saw and understood the humor and intent of the post.

As far as my "support," I buy stuff at the org for sure, but I also own 9 of the 14 aircraft offerings available from X-Aviation. I have been a contributor to the X-Plane community for many years and I will continue to be for many years to come. I don't appreciate your insinuation that being an x-plane.org customer is a bad thing. I support all those who support the X-Plane community as a whole. I don't think there's any room for "taking sides" in the X-Plane community. With that said, you can do what you want and support whoever you want and I'll do the same.

Lastly, if it's fair to ask why "this guy is giving it new life," can you explain why you had to make this post, thus giving even more "new life" to the thread?

Either way I will save my money and spend it on planes that I have confidence in the systems modeling such as the IXEG 737 and LES SAAB.

By the way, I find it interesting that you can have confidence in products that haven't even been completed.  We have been told what they will do by the developers and we've been shown pretty pictures, but until they are released, I'll reserve judgement.
