  1. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Can't wait!
  2. This just in from Dan Klaue: Carenado has just released its 8th update for X-Plane 10-64bit: the free v2.0 update to its C185 Skywagon, as well as the payware expansion pack to convert the base v2.0 C185 into a full-fledged amphibian, float, ski, tundra, and cargo-pod capable aircraft. Most of these modes, as well as wheel fairings and lower door windows, are features that can be enabled or disabled on the fly, and are remembered for next time you take the plane up. For every existing client considering purchasing the expansion pack, please purchase it from the same outlet you bought the original v1.0 C185 from, and only purchase the expansion pack after having successfully updated your v1.0 version of the C185 to v2.0, as the expansion pack will only work with the v2.0 of this plane. As with all v2.0 Carenado updates so far, the base pack update to v2.0 is a major free update, and is recommended for all current C185 owners. This plane, as well as the bush expansion pack, is compatible with 9 X-Plane platforms (v9.7, v10-32bit, v10-64bit, on Mac, Windows, and Linux), and feature overhauled sounds and lighting, enhanced user interface, X-Plane 10 optimizations, and many further improvements and tweaks, that make this a major update. The easy-to-install expansion package represents an exciting breakthrough in on-the-fly customization in X-Plane, and is bound to give bush flight enthusiasts many hours of back-country flying fun. Even hydroplaning is possible with the Tundra tires!
  3. The MU-2 was my first payware investment, as well, back in 2008. It spoiled me for all other aircraft for quite some time. She's a sweet, yet challenging, girl to know and fly. I think with all of Tom's team's work they should have called it V2, rather than an "update" because it's that much gooder! Still a magnificent model and very immersive.
  4. I haven't experienced this type of behavior in a long time. What caused this issue back then was my joystick not being properly calibrated. You may want to check your joystick or yoke to make sure you have them centered.
  5. Updates are being done chronologically in reference to when they were originally released. There is no correlation to the release of X-Plane 10.30. Won't be too much longer to wait for your favorites. You should make a copy of your log.txt and submit it to Carenado along with a description of the problem. They are very fast to respond to support tickets. You could also make a post in the Carenado Support Forum at the org and attach your log.txt to that post for even faster response.
  6. Carenado has just posted their updated X-Plane V10 64-bit Bonanza V35 and Bonanza F33A at http://www.carenado.com. This brings the total V10 updates to seven, including: Mooney M20J Piper Saratoga PA32R-301 Piper Archer II PA28-181 Cessna C172N II Cessna C152II Beechcraft V35 Bonanza Beechcraft F33A Bonanza Get your updates from the vendor from whom you made your original purchase. If you bought directly from Carendao, go to your "My Account" page and click the download link. Even though your product list doesn't title the aircraft as V2, the new download will be the most current version. Your number of downloads should be augmented to allow for the new download. If you're a new Carenado customer, your new purchase will be the most current model available.

  8. I assume you are flying V10 64 bit on a Windows machine. This is a known issue that is not an issue with Carenado's planes, but an issue that Laminar is working on. For more information, start reading the thread below at post #30: http://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?showtopic=65089&page=3
  9. I love the Q! She's challenging to land well, but she's a joy to fly. Well worth the investment!
  10. The Centurion is already V10 64 bit compatible, hence, no need for an update.
  11. By the way, I find it interesting that you can have confidence in products that haven't even been completed. We have been told what they will do by the developers and we've been shown pretty pictures, but until they are released, I'll reserve judgement.
  12. Mikea76, Sorry you missed the humor in my "Vaporware" post. It was, as I explained in my last post on that thread, a tongue in cheek poke and was not intended to offend anyone nor was it meant as any kind of personal attack. If anyone took it personally, then they misunderstood the intent of the post. I suppose I could have simply posted another whiny "is it ready yet" post like so many others, but instead I decided to make a light-hearted attempt at a humorous aside expressing my frustration and anticipation for upcoming, even imminent, releases. The reason "this guy" posted anything about the "Vaporware" thread was because he saw and understood the humor and intent of the post. As far as my "support," I buy stuff at the org for sure, but I also own 9 of the 14 aircraft offerings available from X-Aviation. I have been a contributor to the X-Plane community for many years and I will continue to be for many years to come. I don't appreciate your insinuation that being an x-plane.org customer is a bad thing. I support all those who support the X-Plane community as a whole. I don't think there's any room for "taking sides" in the X-Plane community. With that said, you can do what you want and support whoever you want and I'll do the same. Lastly, if it's fair to ask why "this guy is giving it new life," can you explain why you had to make this post, thus giving even more "new life" to the thread?
