Carenado C185 V2 Update Released!

Featured Replies

This just in from Dan Klaue:

Carenado has just released its 8th update for X-Plane 10-64bit: the free v2.0 update to its C185 Skywagon, as well as the payware expansion pack to convert the base v2.0 C185 into a full-fledged amphibian, float, ski, tundra, and cargo-pod capable aircraft.  Most of these modes, as well as wheel fairings and lower door windows, are features that can be enabled or disabled on the fly, and are remembered for next time you take the plane up.

For every existing client considering purchasing the expansion pack, please purchase it from the same outlet you bought the original v1.0 C185 from, and only purchase the expansion pack after having successfully updated your v1.0 version of the C185 to v2.0, as the expansion pack will only work with the v2.0 of this plane.

As with all v2.0 Carenado updates so far, the base pack update to v2.0 is a major free update, and is recommended for all current C185 owners.

This plane, as well as the bush expansion pack, is compatible with 9 X-Plane platforms (v9.7, v10-32bit, v10-64bit, on Mac, Windows, and Linux), and feature overhauled sounds and lighting, enhanced user interface, X-Plane 10 optimizations, and many further improvements and tweaks, that make this a major update.

The easy-to-install expansion package represents an exciting breakthrough in on-the-fly customization in X-Plane, and is bound to give bush flight enthusiasts many hours of back-country flying fun. Even hydroplaning is possible with the Tundra tires!

guess I'll have to wait a while, Aerosoft haven't posted the update yet. :(

Can someone who has pulled the trigger on this beauty please comment on their experience thus far with 10.21?  I'm *this* close to purchasing it and the expansion pack, but am sorta waiting for the SASL bug to be fixed to before commiting 100%...

Grabbed my update from Carenado and the bush expansion, no problems here.

A great plane indeed for beatin' around the bush! (as Bon Scott used to sing)
