Cannot Repair/Reinstall FSX

Featured Replies

I,m having the same problem. I had FSX on another hard drive that crashed. I have removed all files that I could find for fsx but when I try to install but it gives me a choice to repair and remove . When I remove it say invalid drive E: . I have installed new drive with that letter. When I choose repair it was sending files to C: which I don't want. I tried the link above and it runs but I still see FSX  in the control panel. Any thoughts how I can re install FSX to the new drive?

Thanks,

Tom

Which link have you tried? I can see that flight1 utility link is not working anymore, here is the working link: http://www.flight1software.com/files/FS_Registry_Repair.exe

If you have already tried Flight1 utility, i suggest you to try to manually delete all fsx entries from registry, but only if you are familiar with that. Alternatively, you can download CCleaner and clean all temporary files and registry(make registry backup, you will be asked). But i don't know if CCleaner will clean fsx entries, never tried.

Hi Tom,

Glad you got your problem fixed.  I split your post off from the very old topic you posted to.  It's best to just start a new topic same subject if you want.

Best regards,

Jim

Great! CCleaner or manually?  I'm just curious if CCleaner works for this registry issue...
