June 4, 201313 yr Looks like someone already managed to make it work ! (without 3D yet) http://runway12.com/projects/XPlaneOculus/ Cheers ! Pascal
June 4, 201313 yr When I had my rift I got it working with FSX; it was immersive, but the resolution really needs to improve by a factor of a hundred for it to be impressive. Really difficult reading charts, and any 'micromanagement' that needs to be done in the cockpit. Soarbywire - Avionics Engineering
June 4, 201312 yr the other thing for me would be, I have external throttles radios and autopilot, trim wheel etc. that I would think could get cumbersome. It does look cool though B)
June 4, 201312 yr Commercial Member It's all about 3D experience, isn't it? Well I only might buy it for that. Hence we might wait for Austin to implement it natively. I would be surprised it he wouldn't do such once the device is available.

If the plugin lacks 3D, the cockpit will appear projected at infinity, but the outside view should be right. It's not perfect, but it's a great start !
