Oculus Rift plugin for X-Plane

Featured Replies

When I had my rift I got it working with FSX; it was immersive, but the resolution really needs to improve by a factor of a hundred for it to be impressive.

Really difficult reading charts, and any 'micromanagement' that needs to be done in the cockpit.

the other thing for me would be, I have external throttles radios and autopilot, trim wheel etc. that I would think could get cumbersome. It does look cool though B)

This is on my list of things to get, if it ever works properly in X-Plane.

It's all about 3D experience, isn't it? Well I only might buy it for that. Hence we might wait for Austin to implement it natively. I would be surprised it he wouldn't do such once the device is available.

No, it's also about peripheral vision, and how far the apparent landscape is projected. If the plugin lacks 3D, the cockpit will appear projected at infinity, but the outside view should be right. It's not perfect, but it's a great start !
