June 11, 201312 yr The advantage Bombardier has over Embraer is they can make deals on providing a combination fleet of C-Series and Dash 8's to a regional airliner. Porter Air may be one of the first to operate a combination of C-Series and Dash 8's if they can get approval to operate jets out of Toronto Island Airport. I read about this when I was in Edmonton a couple months ago. Hopefully it works out for Porter because IIRC they were taking a big financial plunge to add them to the fleet. Chris Miller
