thanks!

If its any help I have a 27inch samsung led moniter and fsx looks great if I were you Id look into getting an hd Tv for that kinda money you could get a very nice 42 inch or you could get 2 27inchs like mine for $220 each. If you go the Tv route make sure it displays atleast 1920x1080. Also I'm not sure fsx will display in 2560x1080. Maybe somone else.can chime in about that but as far as resolution goes I'm happy with 1920x1080 2560x1080 will kill your fps

Thanks for the reply, I ended up going with 3 of these,

and digital Matrox triple head to go.

I'm sorry to burst your bubble, but although that's not a bad monitor it's definitely not the best choice for FSX. Looking at the response time and the viewing angles this is a TN monitor. For FSX, response time is not all that important so therefore it's best to go with an IPS or VA monitor. Also, the 144 Hz refresh rate might hold you back in case you want to be using VSync + 30 FPS which in your case will be VSync + 36 FPS (1/4 refresh rate).

The biggest issue I see with that monitor is the aspect ratio.  Have fun constantly panning up and down to see anything above or below you - the aspect ratio is 21:9 which means for every 9 vertical pixels there are 21 horizontal pixels.

I have the same panel (Dell 2913WM) and so far it works great for FSX with the exception of 2D panels which are usually stretched (due to the 21:9 aspect ratio). Other than that everything looks fine, and in the VC you get a better field of view.

Hi

Can you please recommend a TV that offers the 1920x1080 resolution. I have a samsung 37'' and it's maximum is only 1768x992.

I used it for a day and than decided to go back to my 27'' iiyama monitore.

Thank you.

Take a look at my specs, I keep my frames above 25 in weather, with the NGX at a high demand airport running at 2560x1080. I keep my system locked at VSync (60) and obtain that in most situations.
