If its any help I have a 27inch samsung led moniter and fsx looks great if I were you Id look into getting an hd Tv for that kinda money you could get a very nice 42 inch or you could get 2 27inchs like mine for $220 each. If you go the Tv route make sure it displays atleast 1920x1080. Also I'm not sure fsx will display in 2560x1080. Maybe somone else.can chime in about that but as far as resolution goes I'm happy with 1920x1080 2560x1080 will kill your fps ATP MEL,CFI,CFII,MEI. Type Ratings B-737, ERJ-190,ERJ-170
June 14, 201312 yr Author Thanks for the reply, I ended up going with 3 of these, http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824236313 and digital Matrox triple head to go. I'm sorry to burst your bubble, but although that's not a bad monitor it's definitely not the best choice for FSX. Looking at the response time and the viewing angles this is a TN monitor. For FSX, response time is not all that important so therefore it's best to go with an IPS or VA monitor. Also, the 144 Hz refresh rate might hold you back in case you want to be using VSync + 30 FPS which in your case will be VSync + 36 FPS (1/4 refresh rate). Arjen Vandervelde
June 14, 201312 yr The biggest issue I see with that monitor is the aspect ratio. Have fun constantly panning up and down to see anything above or below you - the aspect ratio is 21:9 which means for every 9 vertical pixels there are 21 horizontal pixels.
June 24, 201312 yr Commercial Member I have the same panel (Dell 2913WM) and so far it works great for FSX with the exception of 2D panels which are usually stretched (due to the 21:9 aspect ratio). Other than that everything looks fine, and in the VC you get a better field of view. - Jordan Jafferjee - AMD Ryzen 9 7950X3D | Asus X670-E Pro Prime | Gigabyte RTX4080 Eagle | 64G G.Skill Trident Z.5 DDR5-6000 | Arctic Liquid Freezer II 360 | 2x2TB Samsung 990 Pro NVME | NZXT H7 | Win 11 24H2 | TM Warthog Flight Stick + Throttle | Honeycomb Alpha + Bravo | MFG Crosswind Rudder Pedals | Samsung 43" Odyssey Neo G7 | Dell U3415W

I have a samsung 37'' and it's maximum is only 1768x992. I used it for a day and than decided to go back to my 27'' iiyama monitore. Thank you. qas

I keep my system locked at VSync (60) and obtain that in most situations. - Jordan Jafferjee - AMD Ryzen 9 7950X3D | Asus X670-E Pro Prime | Gigabyte RTX4080 Eagle | 64G G.Skill Trident Z.5 DDR5-6000 | Arctic Liquid Freezer II 360 | 2x2TB Samsung 990 Pro NVME | NZXT H7 | Win 11 24H2 | TM Warthog Flight Stick + Throttle | Honeycomb Alpha + Bravo | MFG Crosswind Rudder Pedals | Samsung 43" Odyssey Neo G7 | Dell U3415W
