rebar off. Dont forget it!
Same here, with a 4080 (16GB VRAM), I see better overall performance (and better overall "experience") with RBAR OFF via NVI for MSFS compared to the negligible FPS improvement at a heavy VRAM tax with it ON.

Multiframe generation for all GPUs…
I'm having the same problem - I can only get this mod to run if: 1) Frame Gen in the SIM menu is disabled/off 2) AA is set to NVidia DLSS (I use Quality, but other versions work as well) 3) Launch the sim into a flight, once in the flight, use the " ~ " key to open the Mod menu, enable FG, and force to DLSSG With the above sequence, I do see some gains with my system, and while it's a PITA, it's worth it for me, for now. If I run AA mode as anything other than DLSS, the mod FrameGen stops. If I enable MSFS FrameGen with the mod installed, I get an immediate CTD.

Multiframe generation for all GPUs…
What version are you using, if you don't mind me asking? I tried 4.5.2 and 4.5.3, but I get the CTD with both. I am going to attempt a driver clean + update next.

Multiframe generation for all GPUs…
I was seeing better performance with this mod regarding FG at x2 on RTX4080, mainly because FG wasn't randomly "stopping" or "halting," which in turn meant I didn't have to ALT+ENTER to cycle the window and get FG running. This worked fine during multiple test flights on SU4 last week. However, I am unable even to launch the sim using this mod with the latest SU5 beta. I just switched to beta to test it today, and launching MSFS24 Steam immediately opened the window and caused the game to CTD. Removing the mod (version.dll) resolves the crash. Anyone else seeing issues with SU5?

EGLL - Managing the Descent Between ETVAX and BIG
Funny, you post this as I did this approach twice in the past two days on VATSIM with the INI A340. I had to have the speed brake at 50% or Flight Full for most of the descent from FL180 through to 6000ft on the looping turns for 27L. That is the only way to meet the restrictions short of holding. For any real drivers out there, when EGLL is in East flow on 09L/R, does ATC expect BIG at FL070? Can you use that long west-bound leg to manage energy?

Pulling my hair out...please help!
Are you using SPAD? I encountered a similar issue this weekend and found it was related to SPAD.Next LVAR bridge connections. My issue was very repeatable, happening for exactly 5 minutes whenever I loaded into a flight - setting the MaxLVarSearchTime (default 5) lower shortens that window and set MaxDigBatch lower removed the issue for me completely. I have used SPAD.next for a long time (dating back to P3D) but I never noticed this issue until this week. Not sure if its related to an update on their end or something on the MSFS side but it was a true PITA to figure it out because closing SPAD does not make the issue go away and it was happening for me at every airport, with every airplane. I'm just happy I didn't go one more step into the deep-end and do a FS reinstall just to find that didn't fix the problem, because then I would have no hair left!

MSFS Adaptive LOD
Besides a second monitor (which I highly recommend) you can get "Windows Power Toys" and use that to make windows sit on top when un-selected. https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/powertoys/always-on-top

Audio stutters
My USB Power Settings were not set for "sleep disable". I have done that (then rebooted) and it seems far better. Did a short A320 flight last night and only had one sound pop/cack across the full flight as opposed to 10+; also this particular sound "pop" may have been related to an unrelated application settings change I made outside the sim at about the same time. This seems pretty promising. Thanks for the idea Ian!

Audio stutters
It appears I am still having issues on my SteelSeries Artic 7 with latest drivers and SteelSeries GG software, USB receiver on rear port direct to Mobo OR on case mounted top port. I have tried lowering the Intel Wifi Transmit Power Setting and sample rate changes int eh Windows Audio settings panel , that highest available is 48 kHz, I've lower to 44.1 kHz as the next lowest available but still hear the same crackling within a few minutes regardless. I assume it has to do with CPU utilization/responsiveness but still can't quite fix it.

EVGA 980 Ti Classified - constant rattle!
McLaren replied to martin-w's topic in Video Hardware: Monitors | Multi-Monitors | Video Cards | Drivers etcI would not be surprised if they used a different system outside the US which may explain it. Sorry to go on about how good they were for me and then you're stuck in this situation. Hopefully you'll get the new card soon!

CPU Water Cooling AIO
I have the Corsair H100i and the ASUS ROG Maximums VIII with the 6700k and I have a solid OC of 4.6. In the winter months I can get it stable at 4.7 but during the summer the ambient temperatures in my office get too high and 4.7 under load starts to go north of 85C. I am using Arctic Silver 5 between the HS and block.

EVGA 980 Ti Classified - constant rattle!
McLaren replied to martin-w's topic in Video Hardware: Monitors | Multi-Monitors | Video Cards | Drivers etcI did the cross ship option where EVGA charges you the collateral amount to your credit card, ship you a replacement unit, and then you ship the defective unit back in that packaging. If you do not ship the bad unit back with 45 days you forfeit your collateral. Once the defective unit is inspected the full collateral is refunded to your card. You do need to pay for shipping back to EVGA so I opted for ground since it was the cheapest by a long shot from from NJ back to California where EVGA's warehouses are. The entire process from submission to getting my collateral back took about 3 weeks (with the bank taking a full 5 business days to reflect the refund after EVGA processed and closed the RMA). However I received the replacement unit in about 4 business days with standard shipping,. You could ask them about expedited shipping but I am not sure if that is available. The entire process was painless. I was able to speak with a rep on the phone in less than 3 minutes to clarify a few questions I had. Going forward I am going to continue EVGA products because the experience was so easy. The last thing you need when a product under warranty is broken is an RMA process that has you running in circles and out of commission for weeks.

EVGA 980 Ti Classified - constant rattle!
McLaren replied to martin-w's topic in Video Hardware: Monitors | Multi-Monitors | Video Cards | Drivers etcI have a EVGA 980TI Hybrid so don't have this issue, but I did have an issue with my card water clock that required a RMA. The process was the simplest and fastest RMA I have ever had to deal with. So if you cant get DIY fix don't fear the RMA!

Any Viable Aircraft for Longhaul Flights? Besides PMDG777
The ifly 747 is Long Haul friendly, I have had many successful flights with it in FSX and P3D 2.5/3.X. It is a great aircraft; I have had it since release and gotten my moneys worth 10x over. But with the PMDG747 release nearing I'm not sure if its worth purchasing at this stage.

GTX1080, stutters and how I seem to have solved them!
As do I - and I am running into a few issues on my end after getting an RMA replacement 980. Would you mind PMing me a copy of your CFG and NIP (if applicable)?

GTX980Ti Hybrid - Poor AA/Flitering
Hey all, In March I built a new rig with a 980Ti Hybrid and everything was fine and dandy. One day I turned on my machine and heard a fan spinning load enough to be mistaken as a helicopter in my office. Long story short the radiator on my 980Ti hybrid had gone bad and I had to RMA it. While I was going through the RMA process I installed my 780 from an old build and uninstalled/reinstalled drivers, cleared my P3D shaders, and removed the display entries from the CFG file. The sim worked (obviously left-ward moves of sliders compared to the 980) and it was more then okay for the time I was waiting for the replacement 980Ti to come in.This week the RMA arrived and I had a chance to install it last night. I uninstalled my drivers and and installed the latest drivers (368.69 I believe, July 6 release), cleared my shaders, removed display entries and fired up the sim. I am now getting very bad AA and AF performance and lots of stuttering. I blew up my config file completely to start from scratch and I am still having issues. Does anyone have any suggestion besides a full reinstall which I think is the next step. I am on P3D 3.3.5 and full specs are in my profile. Thanks! Jordan.

GTX750Ti Poor Performance

New to P3D, advice would be appreciated..
I am only using the affinity mask tweak and very happy with 3.1 on my new system. On my prior build with 2.5/3.0 I did have the "laundry list" and I slowly moved away from it. I am very happy with my performance now.

Is it possible to get stable 60FPS?
Yes. I have not noticed it at all in P3D 2.5/3.0/3.1.
