Just the beginning for my YouTube channel

Featured Replies

Hi all just starting my YT premiere. Hoping to be different than all the 1000s of others already producing content for the FS hobby.... and so many are fabulous. I won't try to make money on this only to have fun with other simmers that might want some tips / hints in a fast, no fluff way... I hate searching for hours of video to get to the meat of the topic I am searching for , so I would rather label and list in short blasts of pertinent material hoping only a real pilot with 11,000 hours and 30 years plus of jets and turboprops can do. Lots of flightsimmers are experienced. Lots of real pilots are experienced. Some are both... that's my category plus 3x the hours on sim starting in 1979, making Flight Unlimited 3 in 1999 as the lead designer and even some work with flightsim.com back in its premiere. Looking for feedback, and ideas for what you would like to have ... some of you know way more than I do... as I mostly fly but don't get into the myriad of tweaking and configuring videos already published. I won't teach full cold n dark startups either, that's way over covered and very professional as well.

It's in it's infancy, only 3 videos so far but will keep that theme going with hopefully a ton more soon.... safe sim flying and have fun, Peter James

dang ! forgot my link ... I am a novice

Unfortunately the VAST majority are on YouTube to make money and most can't add a lick of knowledge to what most of us here already know about aviation or FS2024. The so called experts just spew out content for $$$.

Since YouTube is now throwing more ads at people than ever I rarely visit the site any longer!

Good grief, give the man a chance!  Lots of experience there so come back with a useful comment once his channel gets going!

Nice to see that you are still around, Peter. I used Flight Unlimited 3 exclusively between 2000 and 2008, and I can honestly say that they were some of the best years that I have ever had in flight simulation. I really enjoyed flying that Beechjet 400A "low and slow" around the Seattle and San Francisco high resolution scenery areas, and it had the best simulation of thrust reverse that I had ever seen up to that point

Later I merged, just as many, the FU3 and FU2 scenery areas and used that 744 mod to fly between Seatle and San Francisco 😍

I dreamed about one day having the whole World with that level of detail...

Ansgar's 747-400 in FU3 was a fantastic piece of kit! I restricted myself to low level flights around the high resolution scenery regions, but I remember that it handled very well.

THANKS FOR THE KIND WORDS everyone!! Yes it is me ... haha, mostly having a family since FU3 was released, then onto a corporate flying career, now 11,000 hours later and 7 type ratings... I never expected all that... I am currently in a Citation Latitude after loosing my previous job of Challenger 300. Now attempting to break into Youtube, not to become rich just to have fun - but frustrating I have so little views so far, not sure how to compete ... I see folks making youtube videos with millions of hits, tons of revenue on just filming potatoes growing etc... so I don't get it.... I would be happy to give more detail on stuff the serious simmer would like, feel free to comment on the page I will try to answer everyone! Thanks, Peter

Good luck with the channel Peter. 😉
