New Sound Card Installed and FS2Crew

Featured Replies

I recently replaced my SB x-Fi extreme sound card with an SB Audigy 24-bit.  The "new" card is actually older than x-Fi but rock stable with no static/crackling etc.  I also started using SB Tactic 3D wireless headset and have had no problems with FS9 except that when I attempt to start iFly737 button version by clicking on the standby ADI--I get immediate crash of FS9 with no warning boxes.

I tried uninstalling/reinstalling FS2Crew from the basic V2.0.0.39 to the latest version, and it still gives me a CTD everytime.

I had an issue similar to this with the SB x-fi extreme sound card when I updated the audio drivers...if I rolled back to the original drivers, FS2Crew worked fine.  The updated Audigy driver I'm using is version 5.12.1.2016 with a 5-27-2009 date.

FS2Crew was working fine until I installed new sound card and wireless headset.

Are there certain sound cards and/or drivers that FS2Crew is not compatible with?

Will FSCrew work with wireless headsets?

Any suggestions on getting it to work?

Thanks

Hi Rich,

The solution is to use the original driver for that device; the newer one doesn't seem to play with with our audio engine for some reason.

Download link for original driver:

As always thanks for the timely support.  I simply rolled the driver back and FS2Crew works perfectly.

Thanks again!
