All files to backup and restore MS Flight, including options?

Featured Replies

I'm attempting to fully restore MS Flight after a reinstall. I've re-downloaded content and copied the files from:

C:\Users\NAME\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Flight

This restored the pilot profile.  However the options, including graphics and controls, seem to be stored elsewhere. Where could they be?

I spent a lot of time configuring the graphics and controls for best performance and handling, so I would like to avoid doing that again, particularly since I can't remember what settings I used last time.

Hello Winjimon

May be there C:\Users\Name\Documents\Flight\
Or C:\Users\Name\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Flight

Thanks OO-JML. That didn't fix it.  Seems to be full of aircraft configurations but not the Display and Control options.

Thanks anyway, it was another folder I had missed during restoration.

C:\Users\YOURNAME\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Flight\Players\C8AF12FEA2FA7E55\Career

This is where the "Controls" folder is located.  If you backup this entire directory, it will get the subdirectories too. Then you should be good to go.

Thank you.

Display settings are saved in %appdata%\Microsoft\Flight\Flight.cfg

Thank! That's the one I'd missed.  %appdata% is C:\Users\NAME\AppData\Roaming\ for me.

Everything is now restored :)
