That is cool, but too bad they are stationary and not updated that frequently (says last update 28 mins). It would be awesome to fly along with them, especially on landing and departures.

Yea true although since its new I suspect this might change. Kinda neat to move the views around in 360 panoramic though.

Since the data is from flightaware only the flights that are over the US have the rapid updates.

The tech does get better and better. I could see this being of value so loved ones can track incoming family/friends/partner etc on a flight with their smart phones in real time. 

 

It is mostly there already, just a few more improvements and you could probably enter the flight number and seat number of a family member to see what they see on your PC or Smart Phone.....Pretty cool.
