SweetFX makes FSX disappear!

4.6 ghz overclock - 57 to 75 degrees - corsair water cooler

Thanks Richard i thought i was getting into some trouble when i started using sweetfx for some reason my GPU temperature went up 70C . I did a little search an found out that its okay that the GPU reaches 70C but don't push it to 90C

My GPU is a factory overclocked FPB edition GTX560 Ti from Nvidia. I really only run Precision to use a custom fan profile, but I may be able to get away without it in FSX. Games like WoW, SWTOR, and other more modern games I can run 80-95% GPU usage a lot and really drive the temps up.

I was going to say maybe some crashes are do to high temperatures but in your case the temperature is fine . Well i try precision X with Rivatuner new updated version i found here http://www.guru3d.com/files_get/rtss_rivatuner_statistics_server_download,3.html.

I tested it with ENB MOD from Nicks N guide my screen went black but didn't crash . So then i try an old work around simmers in that past try to restore their screen again . CTRL + Shift + TAB then i click on FSX ICON an my screen was restore . After that then i could use ENB with out no problem when going through menu option . Now for sweetfx am going to have to test it. I have the same crash you have ,well i think i was one of the first in the past who posted it in the CTD forum. Now i don't get CTD so much . Only after 6 flights , i guest going through menu option so much times makes fsx unstable with sweetfx.

Thanks Leny you should be ok with those gpu temps I have read the same thing but I would freak lol I have a huge xclio with 2 large fans on the side really helps to keep my system cool.

Looking forward to your findings on sweetfx, that would be great

4.6 ghz is my cpu not my video card Titan stays very cool about 42 degrees, I usually turn the fan up 85% with Precision x, Especially now it is hot as hell here lol

Ohh i thought you said it was your GPU that reaches 70C :O  OMG i should apply 100% of fan speed to my GPU now am worry .

lol only goes to 85% which is enough I guess, Titan is crazy throw more at it keeps taking it weird

I don't usually overclock not seeing the benefit from the risk

I guest i can see what you mean gpu can take heavy temperatures but CPU you better have the correct cooling for it .  I have Antec Liquid Cooling for my CPU . So sweetfx has nothing to do with high temperatures then .  If you are having the same problem to i guest it is matter of time until everyone has the sweetfx FSX magic trick . Gone without a trace lol
