June 30, 201312 yr Can anyone tell if the SD Yak-40 for FS9 will work or be made to work in FSX. I love this plane and it seems to have a great VC cockpit with it. Trying to bring the 70's back in FSX
July 1, 201312 yr I'm going to say no on this one. Suprunov Design's website is gone, and the Yak 40 is no longer for sale on simMarket. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Dana Palmer KJAC
July 1, 201312 yr Author yes I heard that, now its for a free download on avsimru site. I heard that site was making it so that it would work in FSX but I was hoping maybe this one might work as it is. Trying to bring the 70's back in FSX
July 1, 201312 yr The designer perished in a glider accident over a year ago. Really? Where did you get that info from? At the time of Igor's death it was reported that his body had been found in a district of Moscow and that the cause of death was uncertain. Apparently there was no sign of violence. Very sad. I'm not attacking you, just asking if you know something that I don't. So please don't take this post he wrong way. It's bad enough losing Igor without fighting over the cause of his death. I hope you understand. Gavin Barbara Over 10 years here and AVSIM is still my favourite FS site :-)
July 1, 201312 yr Web news. I'm sorry if I have given wrong information, I follow english speaking, czech and finnish aviation/sim forums, the glider accident must have popped out in some of those forums. I did not know about the other, apparently more reliable information.
July 1, 201312 yr Nothing to apologise for. It's just as likely that my info is wrong. Guess we'll never really know for sure. Gavin Barbara Over 10 years here and AVSIM is still my favourite FS site :-)

Thanks for sharing those, I've been looking for a Yak 40 for FSX for ages, great to see someone finally managed to convert the one available for FS9 at Avsimrus for FSX... I saw earlier when looking for the Yak-40 that the designer of original Yak-40 was found dead, it's really sad... :(
September 15, 201312 yr He was a very talented designer... Glad this is available for FSX, even if it's a portover. I used to really enjoy this one in FS9
September 15, 201312 yr Commercial Member Thanks, this was one of my favorite airplanes for FS9. Keep up the good work. Michael A2A Simulations

I'm as programmer, he as 3D modeller. I talk with his wife. We decided release this craft as freeware. I'm planing support this project and make it flyable in FSX and Prepar3D
September 16, 201312 yr Great news indeed. it was perhaps the best addon I remember from FS9 times. Also I bought mine from Simmarket from a sale "buy now, get FSX version free". So this is going to happen after all.
