July 25, 201312 yr The way I've been doing this is:if it needs 100% transparency then it's DXT1 colorkey, if it needs shaded transparency ( like tinted glass ) or reflection then it's DXT3. Which for FS9 is precisely the way it should be done, no exceptions. Mike Mann
July 25, 201312 yr Good discussion. I'd be interested in knowing if any of you have been having stuttering or other problems with my scenery. For years now I've been using DXT1 with alpha channel and mips almost exclusively. The only reason I'll use DXT3 is if I need a semi-transparent texture. Oh yeah....I always respond if someone emails me with a question or problem. I must be lucky because I've had very few of these considering the number of sceneries and scenery objects I've uploaded. Sydney I personally haven't had any problems with your scenery, But am still facing problems with a couple of other sceneries from roger wensly as i thought i fixed them all but apparently not lol I have the same stutter and jitters in Bank farm for example when facing the objects if i slide the autogen slider all the way down then the stutters go away so im pretty sure is the objects causing the stutters.
