July 23, 201312 yr Only snag was when I tried to boot off the SSD drive, Windows 7 immediately kept taking me to an Activation screen. Eh? What gives? Are you booting off a different drive to the original installation? If so, could be Windows has checked the drive ID and decided it's a fresh installation, not a re-installation? Just a thought... Eugene Hi Eugene Yes, I was trying to boot the Windows 7 Pro OS on the SSD from a different drive. But it was an exact image of the original Windows 7 Pro OS set-up on the C:\hard drive. So, I'd have thought Windows should see that as an OS that had not altered. Rick Almeida
July 23, 201312 yr Yes, agree with that, else no one would be able to clone a drive to a bigger one if they needed more space. A bit of a puzzle... Eugene
