July 21, 201312 yr Hi there, So I have had a minor issue with A/C configurations getting mixed up with their corresponding liveries. For example, if I was flying N389DA, the aircraft config would show up as an Alaska Airlines configuration and it would show N583AS on the FMC. How do you fix this? Thanks for the help in advance! July 21, 201312 yr Can you give a more elaborate explanation of your problem? What shows up wrong? Where does it show the wrong tailnumber in the FMC? RGS,
July 21, 201312 yr Author Basically, if the Delta (N389DA) configuration has the Honeywell MCP, and Alaska (N583AS) has the Collins MCP, what would happen is the Collins MCP would be present instead of the Honeywell (Delta uses Honeywell). Also, if the standby instruments are magnetic, they would appear as digital. Those are just two examples that I thought would be easiest to notice. There are many other things that might differ between the two aircraft such as displays, etc. In the FMC, it can be found under Menu->Setup->Aircraft and the tail number would show up at the top. July 21, 201312 yr You can try a complete reinstall. After uninstalling delete some files from the fsx directory manually before installing again. I understand your problem now. Looks like it does not register the settings correctly. RGS,
July 22, 201312 yr I've had that problem before, I just lived with it. ensure the rego is correct in the aircraft.cfg. i7 6700k, GTX 1070 (MSI), 16GB Ram DDR4 Asus Maximus VIII Hero, Corsair H100i v2 - Alex Farmer Goldstar Textures - www.facebook.com/goldstartextures
July 22, 201312 yr I had this issue a while ago and Ryan (Tabs) told me to do the following: Delete all NGX folders at this location: C:Users\(Your Windows Username)\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\FSX\SimObjects (you can also search %appdata% in the start menu on Windows 7, this will take you to the Roaming folder) http://forum.avsim.net/topic/355972-tail-number-and-ac-config/#entry2185651 This solved it for me, hope you have success as well Steve Caffey
