Recommended rex essential plus OD texture profiles

Featured Replies

Can anyone recommend a good texture profile for rex? I never know which one to choose and don't feel like taking the time to create my own at the moment.  Looking for something realistic and using opus for weather engine. Flying primarily in north america if that matters at all.

It's all a matter of preference. Just play with it, its actually fun making new themes to get an entirely new look and feel while flying. REX is amazing.

Hi Red,

There's over a thousand texture sets that users just like you have created and shared with the community. Simply follow these steps:

1. Open REX

2. Navigate to the TEXTURES page

3. Click the BROWSE button

4. Find one and select the THEME ID number and it will populate the UI

5. Click INSTALL (make certain FSX is closed during this step!)

Most of the ones I've tried I really enjoyed :)

Cheers!

Search for one that has NYXXUK in its name: by far my favorite. Very realistic imho, at least for where I usually fly (Northern Europe).
