July 28, 201312 yr s it possible to use (conventional) VOR nav tracking with the MD11? Use the NAV RAD page on the CDU. Insert the frequency/identifier and a course and click VOR ARM. Kenny Lee"Keep climbing"

July 28, 201312 yr Author Kenny, I can get the VOR to Arm and can see the CDI properly indicating the radial deviation on the ND (when EFIS set to "VOR"); however I haven't figured out how to get the AP to automatically adjust the heading to track the radial. The AP continues to track the next WP of the FMC flight plan. Best regards, Ken Ken Boardman
July 28, 201312 yr Hi Ken, VOR tracking is only possible below 18000ft. Above that, you can arm it, however tracking will only begin below 18000ft. Best regards, Jonathan John Rubens
