FTXGlobal = Awesome.....now what if ....

Featured Replies

FTX Global is excellent and I know I'm beating a dead horse here but I wish someone could come up with road traffic that has little to no FPS impact.  Somehow FTX did it with night lighting but now I wish we could have dense road traffic.

Just a rant....well done ORBX !

Wait just to clarify... THE FTX Global does still have default traffic on the roads?

yes - default traffic is still there - I would just like to have alot of road trafic without the price of smoothness and FPS.

I do not believe there is anyway to improve the road traffic.

I run my road traffic at 40% with no noticeable impact on performance with smooth FPS. This gives me good road coverage but I I'm running in DX10.

I used to curse road traffic in the first year or so of FSX. Maybe it was due to upgrading my PC several times (doubtless, in fact...) but I never notice much of a performance hit anymore. I only run my road traffic at around 15-20%, but that's plenty for the effect, and it no longer brings my rig to its knees.

Ok thanks for the response! You had me worried for a second, haha!! :)
