November 2, 200421 yr Forgot to ask...What is this "pedal" to have a "distortion"???Pilot_76Hi. It is a guitar pedal. And a darn good idea as well. When I was flying with a headset one day I noticed that my signal wasn't quite loud enough so I thought that I'd boost it some how. I have a ton of guitar equipment so I plugged into a tube pre-amp and not only boosted the volume but got the slight overdrive/clipping sound of an actual airline mic. Nasally, and powerful! Oh yeah I talk to myself as well. But it's usually stuff like, "oh no I'm gonna crash again..."I've been flying since FS2000 and I'm glad to finally say hi to you good people.:)Kevin from KIAG

November 2, 200421 yr I used to issue command to the simulator through game commander - that is voice recognition. However, since I also had the sound coming through the speakers it tended to make it harder for the program to correctly interpret what I was saying. I ended up saying the command over and over, usually with a high voice and pronounciating it in different ways trying to find the "sweet spot". One day a neighbour approached me with a freightened look on this face asking me what I was doing up in the night screaming "Flaps...flaaaaaaps...flAPPs...GEEEEEEAR!"I then swiftly changed to a headset...
