Rudder Issue

Featured Replies

Hi guys nothing major, but whenever I'm taxiing after landing only my rudder seems to be overly sensitive, it is fine on takeoff etc, but when land and taxi it's left right left right etc, any help would be appreciated. Wayne Hart

Hmm, strange that it happens after your flight. What controls do you use? I use to have the same issue but while taxing before and after my flight. It was a bit annoying because it made my rollouts interesting to say the least. I solved it by going into my Logitech Extreme 3D Pro profile and adjusting the sensitivity there. Hope this helps.

How are they calibrated?  I use FSUIPC to calibrate all axis.

Hi There,  I am having the same problem myself. The aircraft taxis well before take-off but zig-zags after landing. My way around it at present , which isn't realistic, is to rapidly reset the FMC- SET UP to default and then the taxiing is fine. Hope this helps relieve the frustration.    Davieboy

After landing, while rolling out on the runway centerline, make sure your autopilot is disconnected, and turn off both the pilot and copilot flight director switches on the MCP. That should stop the tendency to zig zag.
