August 15, 201312 yr Hi Guys and Girls (im not sexist), Just a quick question, i dont want to know about issues or bugs picked up, i just would like to know the following: In regards to to the Ground Proximity System, Luke said he was quite shocked this morning when he turned it on and it looked different (i hope i understood him correctly), that was after Ryan and the dev's made some changes, now here my question. Does the dev's as bugs or issues are fixed after reporting send service packs to the Beta Team on a periodic basis, so that all are on the same page at all times? Just interesting thats all! Cheers everyone! Marius Scheepers Wannabe Pilot
August 15, 201312 yr Commercial Member Like with any piece of software, updates must be sent to testers after changes were made. How that is done varies but that is the basic idea (otherwise, how do they get the latest build?). After each update, testers won't (shouldn't) only test the new features or specific changes, but they must also be alert at all times to other items breaking in the process. Best regards, Robin.

When they release a new build, they include a list of any items that were previously flagged and fixed. We can then test the aircraft against that list to confirm that it actually fixed the issue, or note that it didn't. When it comes to new functionality, they normally point it out. When it comes to improved functionality, they may or may not point it out. Not so much a breakdown in the communication, but more of a keeping it to pertinent conversation type of thing. If we got emails explaining everything that changed, we'd probably tune it out (heck, we generate so much email that it's hard not to skim some of them.) Kyle Rodgers
