August 23, 201312 yr Back when I worked in GA maintenance the Tomahawk had a pretty poor reputation. Most people I spoke to who'd flown one felt that the T-tail was an answer in search of a question; which prompted me to wonder how Piper chose that configuration. Considering how long Piper had been in the airplane business I'd have thought building a decent trainer would have been a fairly simple matter.

August 23, 201312 yr Author Wow, no wonder it's not very popular at all! The tomahawk was the bird I spend the longest with, but not long enough to develop a preference as such to tell which bird was good or bad. I just liked it I guess, it didn't "looked" too bad.
