November 9, 200421 yr Yep I mistook you for another person who hated ariane.I have been to PMDG's site, but I don't know what it is like to fly their a/c.Do you know any sound files I can download to get a more realistic cockpit sound (air con and wind noise and less engine noise-the rear cabin has plenty of that). It would have been nice to have FS kept the Concorde. I don't want them to lose anything. I agree with you they need to work on the world too. But all up it is a nice sim. Thanks!
November 9, 200421 yr Commercial Member Hi, "The concorde was taken out of flight sim due to the complex of the aircraft and that microsoft could do better things such as Ai traffic and atc."Exact, Bruce Wiliam from business development manager for Microsoft said basicaly the same answer from fs 2004 interview before fs2004 release, it's was about the complex of the aircarft and the amount of time to spend on this aircraft.ThanksChris Willis[link:fsw.simflight.com/FSWMenuFsSim.html]Clouds And Addons For MsFs Kind RegardsChris Willis

November 9, 200421 yr If you don't need it then why have FS at all? Why not buy a car race simulator?Seriously, MS has done an almost exact job with the flight models in FS. That is why I want them to keep adding more and keep up their high standards. Thanks Microsoft.More Boeings, More Airbus, More Blackhawks, Tomcats, Phantoms, and plenty of guns and bullets!!!! Go Go GO!!!:-bang :-bang
November 9, 200421 yr The 777 and 747 are both considerably more `complex` aircraft than Concorde if you consider the behind the scenes systems.Of course the real reason is that Concorde wasn't American. If it was made by Boeing you can bet your life that it would still be in. MS has commercial ties with many of the manufacturers whose products are so poorly represented in FS. No wonder ATR turned to Flight 1 to get the job done right! Now what's the bet we still don't see a Cirrus SR20/22 or even representative examples of VLA for FS2006?Allcott
November 9, 200421 yr Author I would argue about the 747/777 being more complex than the Concorde. The Concorde was way ahead of it

November 9, 200421 yr According to Microsoft, it is because "Updating the visual model for the Concorde would have taken very much time, and would probably have prevented us from updating multiple other aircraft models."So there.
November 10, 200421 yr Author The visual model? What is more complex about the Concorde visual model than other MS aircrafts? I thought it was the avionics or something.
