August 22, 201312 yr Commercial Member Just curious as to what the 2 items in the bottom left are? The ones with the white and yellow/green caps? Hey Jordan - they're my Contour cams. They're like GoPros, essentially: They're what I use to record my flights. Kyle Rodgers
August 22, 201312 yr Ahh... That's what I was thinking. I've just never seen them in a protective box like that. Cool.
August 23, 201312 yr among other things i carry some minimal amount of paper required by UPS and a case with both a ipad mini a galaxy note 10... and my phone the note II ... even when i do weekend partime jobs (private flights ) i also carry all my devices and a hell of lot less paper.... August 23, 201312 yr Commercial Member even when i do weekend partime jobs (private flights ) i also carry all my devices and a hell of lot less paper.... For sure. I've been on flights where we had two iPads and a G1000. The likelihood all of that is going to fail is so slim that it's insane to assert otherwise. While the paper chart stays in my flight bag, you can guarantee it rarely comes out in cases like that. Kyle Rodgers
August 23, 201312 yr since april this year i was invited to test some new aviation software that among other things has speech recognition and allows you to pull up anything just by calling lets say (Landing checklist ) they are developing for both IOS and android ... July 30, 201411 yr Sorry for bringing up this old topic, but I would like to ask: do the PMDG 777 abnormal Electronic Checklists completely replace the paper QRH for the failures that are simulated? Apart from the paper backup logic, can I use *only* the ECL instead of the paper QRH when I have a failure? I am talking about the PMDG 777, don't mind about what real life airlines do. Thanks.
