November 7, 200421 yr Anybody that has the new KDEN airport have any observations? I would love to have Denver for an airport but I have really been spoiled by the Fly Tampa products that I am a little unsure. I cant believe the framerates on KSFO that I get even with detailed add on aircraft. Thanks for any info. Andrew
November 8, 200421 yr I have the demo. It looks a lot like the Fly-XXXX stuff. I did have a problem with the Jetway docking with my PMDG 737. I will probably buy it. . . once the jetway is fixed. ;-)Jim from Imagin wrote:"The problem with the jetways is most probably caused by the aircraft you are using. The jetway reacts badly to certain freeware and payware aircraft and we are rushing like crazy to find a fix for as many of these airplanes as possible. What airliner are you using at the moment? It will help us with the fixes."Terry
November 8, 200421 yr I also installed the demo. I see some buildings but I was supposed to get one custom runway - but what I see instead are all default runways.Michael J.WinXP-Home SP2,AMD64 3500+,Abit AV8,Radeon X800Pro,36GB Raptor,1GB PC3200,Audigy 2 Michael J.
November 8, 200421 yr I bought it because I live in Colorado and often fly out of DIA. It's a very nice rendition with lots going on. I even loaded up one of Bill Lyon's cars and drove up to the terminal and around the perimeter roads. But, alas, it brought my modest system (2.0ghz, GEForce4 Ti4600) to its knees and just wasn't worth it for me. Frankly, aside from the new runway not depicted, the default scenery for KDEN is not too bad. If I had a high end system and could actually get good frame rates, I would keep it but I am a stickler for nice smooth frames in the flare.David
November 8, 200421 yr My specs are below and I must say this version of KDEN is awesome... Maybe it's my video card but from what I can tell the framerate issue with this scenery is not that bad. I would put it between Simflyers and FlyTampa. Basically saying not as much an issue as the Simflyer's scenery but not as framerate friendly as the FlyTampa airports. KDEN is a great buy and I would recommend it to anyone interested (that's much more than I could ever say about Simflyer's KLAX and KDFW)... November 8, 200421 yr I get just as good frame rates with my amd 2600+ fsb 333 with 1 gig ram nivida 5600 ultra 128mg ram video as I get with fly Tampas KSFO. I also, have most of the simflyers as well as the other fly Tampas. I did remove the static aircraft. That should have been mentioned in the doc. But it's the aircraft_cargo and aircraft_terminal bgl files. I also added all the gates after removing the statics and added the star for cross runway use. I did notice that there were some hold short nodes missing that I got working. I'll up load the afcad after I get home tonight on avsim and project ai afcad.
November 8, 200421 yr Author Well maybe I will get it. I have been really looking for a high end Denver. Yeah I wish people could figure out how to get the frames Fly Tampa gets. Those sceneries are definitely the class of flight sim. I can be in the F1 ATR at KSFO all sliders right and it's like I am in the default Cessna at a small GA airport. It is pretty unbelievable. Plus the FT airports just look great. Thanks everyone who responded I appreciate the comments. Andrew
