Is MSE Installed

Featured Replies

Hello all. I just got MSE Idaho and had some issues getting it installed (most self-inflicted issues.) I THINK I have it up and running but how can I verify that the MSE scenery is what I'm looking at when I fly???

THANKS!

Jim,

You should notice the absnece of autogen objects for one, but also, real, non-repeating textures on the ground for the whole of the state as well. It will look a lot different to default FSX scenery. You could locate yourself along any of the Idaho borders and climb up to a bit of altitude and look along the border. If MSE2 Idaho is showing, you will see a clear difference.

Also take a top down view and zoom out.  It's easy to see the outline of the installed state against default scenery.  That's what I do after I have installed a state and can see if I have missed in areas.  I've caught a few in the past that way.

Intel i9-12900KF, Asus Prime Z690-A MB, 64GB DDR5 6000 RAM, (3) SK hynix M.2 SSD (2TB ea.), 16TB Seagate HDD, Gigabyte GeForce 5080 RTX, Corsair iCUE H70i AIO Liquid Cooler, UHD/Blu-ray Player/Burner (still have lots of CDs, DVDs!)  Windows 10, (hold off for now on Win11),  EVGA 1300W PSU
Netgear 1Gbps modem & router, (3) 27" 1440 wrap-around displays
Full array of Bravo, Saitek and GoFlight hardware for the cockpit. Varjo and HP VR headsets for mixed reality.

Top down showed a dramatic difference. THANKS for the tip.
