Cannot cancel HOLD in FCU

Featured Replies

Greetings all,

I planned my route using RFinder and FSCommander.   I saved the plan and loaded it into the FCU.   It showed a Hold at:

COANB (Flying into A Coruna (LECO).   I could not delete this HOLD and got locked in flying around and around the hold.  I eventually completed the flight manually.   Can anyone point out how to cancel/delete/remove a HOLD.

This is my only problem with the 737 NGX after approximately 4 months flying twice a day apart from 3 days. (yes, I'm retired).  I am delighted with it.   A magnificent aircraft.

Thanks in anticipation.

TOM

First procedure option is described in FCOM vol.1 SP.11.8 (page 238),

second - is to do a direct to next waypoint from hold, same doc SP.11.4 (page 234).

And FCU is an Airbus autopilot panel, you enter plan into MCDU.

Hi Folks,

Thank you for response.   I shall read the fcom data as advised.   Point taken re MCDU.   I also fly the Airbus A320 AXE.   Keep safe up there.
